The City of University Heights is currently accepting applications for a dependable and well-qualified building inspector. The qualified applicant shall have recent experience in a certified building department and shall possess, at a minimum, certifications issued by the Ohio Board of Building Standards as a Building Inspector, Residential Inspector, Electrical Safety Inspector or a Plumbing Inspector. Additional certifications are desirable but not required.
The successful candidate must have good oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Franklin Information Systems building department software is a plus. Duties include, but are not limited to, commercial and residential inspections and yearly property maintenance inspections.
