Highland Heights Storm Water Manager

The City of Highland Heights is seeking applicants who possess excellent communication, organizational, managerial, technical, and public relations skills for the part-time position of Storm Water Manager. Highland Heights operates under a mayor/council form of government. The Storm Water Manager is appointed by, and reports to, the Mayor. Work is supervised under the managerial direction of the Director of Public Service with support from the Building Commissioner and the City Engineer.

The Storm Water Manager provides technical and field related services, and supports all areas of storm water management, with a strong emphasis placed upon the reduction and elimination of basement flooding, the management and improvement of drainage systems, and the management and compliance of storm water permitting and activities.

An ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate a strong background in storm water management consisting of both field work and technical experience and will possess a combination of education and experience including, but not limited to, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or other area closely related to the position and a minimum of five years of work experience in a related field. A valid Ohio driver’s license, experience with office equipment and office management skills including proficiency with computers and record keeping, as well as, strong organizational and reporting skills are required. The successful candidate must complete a post offer drug and alcohol screening and physical evaluation. Additional information is available on our website at www.highlandhts.com.

Salary range for this PART TIME position is $32.00 to $38.00 per hour depending upon qualifications. Work hours and work days require flexibility and may include evenings and weekends. On average, hours are estimated at 24 to 28 hours per week. The position will remain open until filled.
