Job Title: Housing Bureau Manager Code Enforcement
Reports to Director of Building and Housing
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Salary $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 Annually
Examples of Duties
Under general direction, supervises the various operations of the Housing Bureau. Assists in the development of Bureau policies and procedures. Deploys supervisory and inspection staffs, as needed, to ensure compliance with residential housing codes. Initiates action, as necessary, to enforce compliance with code requirements. Implements training programs for Housing Bureau staff. Serves as Acting Deputy Commissioner and divisional representative as requested. Performs other job-related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Public Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a closely related field from a four-year accredited college or university is required, a law degree is preferred. Three years of full time paid supervisory or project management experience in real estate, finance, or accounting is required. Substitution: Two years of directly related experience may substitute for each year of college education lacking. A valid State of Ohio Driver’s License is required.
