ELECTRICAL SAFETY INSECTOR
The City of Avon Lake is accepting applications for the position of Electrical Safety Inspector. The selected candidate must possess a good working knowledge of the Ohio Building Code and the Residential Code of Ohio, building inspection techniques and code enforcement procedures.
The successful candidate must be certified by the State of Ohio as an Electrical Safety Inspector and have a commercial Building Inspector and residential Building Official certifications. The candidate must be able to do residential plan reviews as part of the job. Preference will be given to those candidates with multiple certifications.
The selected candidate must possess a High School Diploma or GED and possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license. The City of Avon Lake provides an exceptional work environment with an excellent benefits package. The selected candidate will be required to undergo a criminal background investigation and physical examination.
