The Ashtabula County Building Department is accepting applications for the position of a Multi-Certified Inspector II. The selected candidate must possess a good working knowledge of the Ohio Building Code, Residential Code of Ohio, National Electrical Code, building inspection techniques and code enforcement procedures.
The successful candidate must be certified by the State of Ohio as an Electrical Safety Inspector and have a commercial Building Inspector (Full or Interim) Certificate. Preference will be given to those candidates with multiple certifications. The selected candidate must possess a High School Diploma or GED and possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license.
The Ashtabula County Building Department provides an exceptional work environment with an excellent benefits package (medical, dental and PERS retirement). The selected candidate will be required to undergo a criminal background investigation and a physical examination.
