Mars Electric Solar Training

Mars Electric is hosting Solar Energy International, a non-profit trainer from Colorado to conduct the class.  This is a great opportunity for building officials to learn more about the PV Solar systems they are inspecting.

This training will provide an overview of the three basic PV system applications, primarily focusing on grid-direct systems. The instructor will lead the class through the core concepts necessary to work with all PV systems, including: system components, site analysis, PV module criteria, mounting solutions, safety, and commissioning.  PV101 will also cover the basics of sizing a residential grid-direct system, wire sizing, overcurrent protection, and grounding.

This class will provide many of the in-class training hours needed to become NABCEP certified, plus participants will have the opportunity to help build a small solar system on Mars’ roof.

The cost is $1,575 per person and its limited to the first 15 people to sign-up.  I have attached a flyer and a sign-up sheet with more information.  Would it be possible to distribute this email to some other Ohio Building Officials Association members you think would be interested in this course?  Please let me know if you have any questions and hopefully we will see some Ohio Building Officials Association members at the class in October!
