The City of Medina is extending their search for a Building Official. This position is appointed by the Mayor and requires the confirmation of Medina City Council. The Building Official is responsible for the enforcement of regulations in accordance with the Ohio Building Code and the City of Medina Codified Ordinances.
Must have experience in supervision and in performing building inspections. Must possess a high school diploma, Building Official and Building Inspector certification as required by the Ohio Dept. of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance and the OBBS, plus Ohio Residential Building Official Certification, and a valid Ohio driver’s license.
In addition, this candidate would need to have a State of Ohio Electrical Inspector Certification. Compensation commensurate with experience having the starting annual salary range set between $60,748 and $72,897 plus benefits. Pre-employment drug testing and background review is mandatory.
